Dr. Kyle S. Orr

Dr. Orr attended Pittsburg State University where he earned his bachelor degree in Biology. He went on to attend Missouri  School of Dentistry and Oral Health (MOSDOH) where he graduated top of his class in 2017.

Desiring to assist patients in a more specialized way, Dr. Orr completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas which partners with the UT Southwestern/Parkland Programs. The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic was one of the busiest and most productive specialty clinics in the hospital. Here, Dr. Orr expanded his knowledge in Orthognathic surgery, TMD, facial pain, facial and oral lesions, IV sedation, dentoalveolar procedures, cleft lip/cleft palate repair, dental implants, and facial trauma. He completed his internship in 2018.
Post-internship, Dr. Orr undertook a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Upon completion, Dr. Orr decided to pursue private practice in Newport News joining Hampton Roads Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice.

Dr. Orr enjoys all areas of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery but specializes in the following:

  • Wisdom tooth removal
  • Dental implant placement
  • IV Sedation
  • Complex Preprosthetic Surgery
  • Surgical Tooth Exposure

Dr. Orr is a member of multiple Professional organizations which include:

  • The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS)
  • The American Dental Association
  • The Virginia Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons
  • The American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
  • The Peninsula Dental Society

In his free time Dr. Orr enjoys watching and playing soccer, riding his bike and hiking however Dr. Orr is usually up for the challenge of anything active.
